Zombie Party

A multiplayer game created for Goethe Institute's IMAGINE festival in Sudan.
The game utilizes the player's phone (Cocos Creator) to control characters on screen (Unity), players will scan a QR code that will open up a web-application that will allow them to join the game happening on the big screen.
  • Project Type: Personal Hobby Project.
  • Technologies:
    - Unity Engine (big screen game).
    - Cocos Creator (virtual controller).
    - Web-sockets.
  • Challenges: 
    - Creating a custom networking solution syncing IO between game & virtual controller, using web-sockets & JSON.
    - Minimize the onboarding friction, only having players join a wi-fi network & scanning a QR code to join the session.
